EEX-I GAS SENSOR TRANSMITTER
The MACView® EEx-i gas sensor is a explosion save measurement head for use in Ex zones. The measurement head is made completely explosion save by means of intrinsic safety. The MACView® EEx-i gas sensor is very small in comparison with other EX save measurement systems : the complete head fits in your hand. The head sends a calibrated analogue signal. In the explosion save probe fit a number of sensors at your choice. The system is approved by KEMA ATEX II 1g Eex ia IIC t4.
EEX-I GAS SENSOR TRANSMITTER
Internally the system is compensated with maintanance free temperature and humidity sensors. The course of the humidity sensor is at best ±2% in 5 years! The gas sensor is compensated through these sensors. The output signal of the probe is a standard 4-20mA signal. This signal corresponds for example with a known rang of 0-50 ppm ammonia gas. Correction of temperature and humidity and linearisation are calculated in the end signal. Therefore this sensor is very universal and can be connected to every desired 4-20mA input. Condition for mounting in a Eex zone is a position of a right barrier between the probe and the readout.

EMS offers the right barriers in their product folio of which the parameters of the barriers are written down in the inspection of the sensorhead. The unique feature of this sensorhead is that this is the only sensorhead in the world of which with solid state sensors a warrant is obtained for Eex-i according ATEX standards. Mainly the temperatures are a tricky point in obtaining this warrant. No use of sinter metals is made because af the enormous delays in reaction times. Because the sensors are in direct contact with the air the reaction time of the measured gas is very high. The sensor head can be used in zero zone applications, This makes this sensors available for use everywhere a secured safety is needed.
